Vista Private Equity Group has partnered with Academy Sports + Outdoors in acquiring property and developing a build-to suit (single tenant) building in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The 71,680 square-foot store will be located on Steele Boulevard, immediately south of Joyce Boulevard and adjacent to the Malco Razorback Cinema. The site’s proximity to Northwest Arkansas’ only enclosed regional mall and many national retail tenants will create a strong retail synergy and make this store a major retail destination for the region.
In addition to being home to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville continues to experience a diversified economy and reasonable cost of living while sustaining considerably high economic growth rates.
Academy should be open for business just before Christmas in 2012.
