Vista RED is a privately-owned real estate investment and
development firm led by Brent Mann and Joe Dubuc. Prior to
co-founding Vista during 2006, Brent spent 19 years working with
Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI) in a number of senior
management roles in the areas of development, leasing and
operations. Joe, a principal in our firm, joined Vista RED with
more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience,
including particular expertise in executing urban redevelopment
projects. At Vista RED, Brent and Joe seek to leverage their
vast experience and relationships throughout the U.S. commercial
real estate market in executing value-added development
strategies. Vista RED has the ability to pursue development
opportunities on a national scale, although our primary focus
will be on select markets we believe offer attractive long-term
growth prospects.
Vista RED is focused on
generating ground-up retail, urban mixed-use and adaptive re-use
development projects with a targeted project size of $10-100
million, as well as retail and commercial redevelopment projects
with a minimum size of 10 acres. With access to proprietary
sources of investment capital, Vista RED will acquire attractive
real estate parcels (or partner with local land owners) and then
serve as a value-added development partner. We will also acquire
existing anchored retail shopping centers (or portfolios of such
centers) in need of market repositioning.
Vista RED and
Weingarten
Realty Investors (“WRI”) have executed a master development
agreement as joint development partners focused on ground-up
development and redevelopment projects in attractive markets
throughout the U.S. The Vista-Weingarten partnership seeks to
generate projects representing long-term holdings as well as
merchant-build opportunities.
