Our Private Equity Group is led by two of the Vista founders, Greg Houghtaling and Kurt Keene, who have worked closely together for over 15 years, including more than 10 years investing institutional capital together in private middle market companies located throughout the United States. At Vista, Greg and Kurt continue to leverage their deep relationships and experience in the private equity industry, while executing a selective investment strategy primarily focused on founder and entrepreneur driven businesses facing a potential “transition”.

Vista seeks to make investments in private companies within the smaller end of the middle market. We are particularly interested in working with owners and management teams who have a vested interest in the continuing strategic success and growth of their business. Our core investment focus is providing equity capital to support these types of businesses when they face a critical “transition” point – primarily ownership transitions or transformative growth initiatives. Even though this is our “core” investment strategy, we will selectively consider certain other attractive opportunities extending beyond these parameters.

We at Vista pride ourselves on bringing a well-rounded perspective to each investment opportunity, and we seek to be flexible and creative in tailoring each investment to fit the specific needs of the business, its owners and the management team. Vista maintains a fairly broad industry focus, including manufacturing, distribution and service businesses across a variety of sectors.
