Vista’s Real Estate Group is led by Brent Mann. Prior to co-founding Vista during 2006, Brent spent 19 years working with Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI) in a number of senior management roles in the areas of development, leasing and operations. At Vista, we seek to leverage our vast experience and relationships throughout the U.S. commercial real estate market in executing value-added development strategies. Vista has the ability to pursue development opportunities on a national scale, although our primary focus will be on select markets we believe offer attractive long-term growth prospects.
Vista is focused on generating ground-up retail, medical office building, urban mixed-use and adaptive re-use development projects with a targeted project size of $2-50 million, as well as retail and commercial redevelopment projects with a minimum size of 2 acres. With access to proprietary sources of investment capital, Vista will acquire attractive real estate parcels (or partner with local land owners) and then serve as a value-added development partner. We will also acquire existing anchored retail shopping centers (or portfolios of such centers) in need of market repositioning.
Due to the rising tide of under-performing and non-performing real estate assets, Vista has become increasingly focused on providing management services to lenders and developers that are seeking value enhancement partners through our full-service capabilities. Our broad experience/expertise among our Principals and managed personnel include the following capabilities: development and construction services, leasing and asset/property management services, credit underwriting and valuation, operational turnaround management, bankruptcy/financial restructuring, and private equity investment and full workout services.
