Houston, April 3, 2006 – Vista Private Equity Group, a Houston-based private equity investment firm specializing in equity investments within the smaller end of the middle market, announced today that it led the acquisition of privately-held Hamilton Engineering, Inc. (“Hamilton”), of Houston, Texas, a leading provider of high-value, engineering consulting services to the oil and gas industry. Terms were not disclosed.
Joining Vista Private Equity Group is lead investor, ShoreView Industries, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. ShoreView Industries manages a $300 million private equity limited partnership. ShoreView Industries invests this partnership in established, middle-market companies with operations in North America, across a wide range of industries. ShoreView Industries structures a variety of acquisition, recapitalization and build-up transactions, typically in businesses with revenues ranging between $20 million and $150 million. Excel Bank of Minnesota and GMB Mezzanine Capital provided the senior debt financing. Subordinated debt was also provided by GMB Mezzanine Capital.
