Joe is responsible for sourcing
and directing the acquisition, development and management of
commercial real estate projects on a nationwide basis for Vista
RED. Joe also maintains primary responsibility for managing the
general oversight of commercial properties in the Vista RED
portfolio. With more than 20 years of commercial real estate
experience, Joe has particular expertise in the area of urban
redevelopment projects, where he has worked with city managers,
city council members, bond council groups and investment banking
groups in the formation of TIF and TIRZ public/private
partnerships in various major urban areas throughout the U.S.
Prior to joining Vista RED as Principal – Development Director,
Joe handled these same types of responsibilities for the Urban
Development Group of General Growth Properties (NYSE: GGP).
Previously, Joe also served as National Retail Leasing Director
and Director of Business Development for Insignia/ESG (NYSE:
IESG), where he co-managed the creation of Insignia Retail
Group, Inc. by placing and managing 20 million square feet of
agency business in a newly formed subsidiary company. During
this time, he was responsible for developing the infrastructure
while also managing the brokerage and leasing activities for 158
retail properties in 20 states. Joe also helped lead Insignia’s
Mall Group to become the nation’s fourth largest, full-service,
third-party regional mall servicing company.
Joe holds a B.S.B.A. degree from
Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is
a Certified Property Manager (IREM), a Certified Shopping Center
Manager (ICSC) and a past Maxi Award winner. Joe is married and
has two children.
